Social Media Analytics
Throughout my career, I've played a significant role in shaping the social media publishing and content strategies of multiple major universities and brands. At each, we've experienced tangible results and sizable growth. In addition to the statistics below, take a look at some performance reports I've put together.
Content Campaigns
Local Dallas Artist Series
Through this series, we took aim at deepening our ties to the art and culture scenes of Dallas by partnering with local artist and SMU alum Ra Kazadi on two one-of-one pieces that promoted two of our biggest home games.
Behind The Mustangs
One pillar of our content strategy at SMU has been aiming to tell stories that captivate the sports audience at large and provide new entry points to our brand. Our series "Behind The Mustangs," which highlights our support staff, has seen great success.
2023 MLB Draft
Our coverage of the MLB Draft, in which we had the #1 overall pick, was spearheaded by me. We rolled out a longform YouTube series highlighting our player development process in advance of the draft and had a variety of different pieces of content prepared to build a moment surrounding our top selection, pitcher Paul Skenes.
Drew Maggi Called Up
When 34-year old Drew Maggi got the call to the big leagues, it quickly became a national story. We were able to take advantage by telling his story in a way no one else could through access.
Ke'Bryan Hayes Gold Glove Award
Our season-long, multi-channel campaign for our third basemen paid dividends when he took home the award for the first time.
Real-Time Cell Phone Content
During my time with Oklahoma State Football, we placed an emphasis on capturing organic moments via iPhone and sharing them quickly to maximize engagement. We saw continued results by capturing gamedays in unique ways through this lens.
Player-Driven Content
Amidst the turn of the page into the NIL era and prior to the Instagram collaboration feature, we also looked to amplify our players' social channels whenever and wherever possible, especially when posts promoted team culture.
